At H.E. Kugelmans & Co., we aim to provide our customers with a range of herbal products to assist in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. We trust in the healing power of nature, helping the body’s inherent wisdom to heal itself. Hermann Emil Kugelmann

Hermann Emil Kugelman was born in South Australia. His parents, Carl and Louise, had migrated to Australia from Prussia in 1848.

In 1866, Kugelmans was established. Carl became an active herbalist while Hermann assisted him as a child. Hermann eventually became a consulting herbal practitioner

In 1890 came the first known advertisement for Balsam of Paradise. Now, known as Kugelmans Herbal Cough Remedy. In 1934, H.E Kugelmans & Co. became a Victorian registered company.

H.E. Kugelmans & Co. continued its trade in herbs, herbal remedies, mineral supplements, and more, both wholesale and retail.

The Van Wunniks, founders of Summit Health Products and Windmill Herb Farm, purchased the company in 1977. Kugelmans products continued to be sold in the market.

After a few changes in ownership over the years, H.E. Kugelmans & Co. was acquired by Medtracos Pty Ltd in 2017, with the intention of bringing Kugelmans products back for the 21st century. Our current herbalist still remains with us after 34 years.
